One of the guiding principles of functioning of CCI, is to be a professional body equipped with necessary skills. The personnel need to be sensitive to the dynamics of development and operation of market forces to ensure achievement of objectives of the Act. This would require continuous up-gradation of professional knowledge and skills of the personnel. A conscious policy for the development of human resource available to the CCI would require to be fostered for meeting this challenge. Training is one of the effective and tested tools for performance enhancement, as well as upgradation of knowledge and skills of the personnel. Organisational motivation and morale, as reflected in the attitudes and organisational work culture, can be rendered relevant and sharply focussed through effective training programmes. Sensitivity to emerging competition concerns, modernity in thinking and proper orientation of internal systems may also require specifically focussed training programmes, both at induction and in service training at all levels to enable their diffusion throughout the administrative structure of CCI. With the above objective in view, adequate opportunities are being provided for in-house capacity building at all levels through a series of training interventions. |
